The Experience Sharing Seminar on Building a Disaster-Resilient Society was organized with the aim of making society more resilient and prepared for disasters in terms of preparedness and risk reduction.

To contribute to disaster risk reduction and to prepare society for potential earthquakes by identifying individuals' strengths and weaknesses, Hüsniye AKAN, a YESKAD member and educator who experienced the February 6, 2023, Kahramanmaraş-centered earthquake, held a seminar titled "Experience Sharing in Building a Disaster-Resilient Society." The seminar addressed measures to be taken against disasters within the Disaster Management System, including building appropriate buildings on solid ground, securing cabinets, reducing the use of glass, preparing an earthquake kit, having a battery-powered flashlight and radio ready in case of power outages, and remembering that Türkiye is an earthquake-prone country. She shared her experiences with 10 adults.
