Summary

According to reports from the International Energy Agency (IEA), more than 60% of vehicles sold worldwide are expected to be electric by 2030. For Türkiye, keeping pace with this global trend and encouraging the use of electric vehicles is an important step for the environment and human health.

According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of electric vehicles registered in Türkiye reached 80,043 by the end of 2023, an increase of approximately 570% compared to the previous year. One of the main factors behind this increase is the environmentally friendly and economic advantages offered by electric vehicles. The goal is for one out of every ten vehicles sold in Türkiye to be electric by 2024.

There is a need for highly qualified professionals who understand the technologies brought about by digital transformation and can reflect this in their professional skills. A project has been prepared to train personnel who can continuously follow and learn this developing technology in order to be able to export, and to develop the professional skills of the educators who will train these personnel. The project aims to prepare training modules, documents, training videos, and an e-learning platform.
