Name Surname: Faruk Özlük
Education Status: 2nd Class Cyber Security Analyst and Operator

I believe that ensuring security in a rapidly digitalizing world is one of the most critical areas of the future, and as a 20-year-old, I'm studying cybersecurity analysis and operations at Ege University. With the digital world evolving at a dizzying pace, I believe young people need to both use technology effectively and become more aware of cybersecurity. Therefore, I prioritize developing my skills and gaining international experience by actively participating in various projects.

One of the most important projects I participated in was the Erasmus+ KA210 Digital Information Security project. As part of this project, we conducted various activities in Malatya with young people from France to raise digital security awareness. Working with young people from different countries toward the same goal benefited me greatly, both technically and culturally.

From the project's early days, we've held introductory events, group activities, and workshops on topics like digital identity security, social media risks, and data protection methods. Working with diverse teams has improved my communication skills and ability to adapt within a team.

Throughout the project, we conducted various cultural and technical visits. We visited the Somuncu Baba Tomb in Darende and the Arslantepe Mound, a significant historical site in Malatya. These visits allowed us to become more familiar with the region's culture and witness firsthand the value of its historical heritage.

Our visit to the Malatya Police Department's Cybercrime Unit was also quite impressive. Here, we learned about cyberattack detection processes, digital evidence collection methods, and the security infrastructures used by the police. Learning directly from experts in the field further fueled my motivation in cybersecurity.

The cultural evening events were among the most enjoyable moments of the project. We were immersed in an international atmosphere through presentations, food, dancing, and conversations showcasing Turkish and French cultures. These events were both entertaining and educational.

This project not only improved my technical knowledge and skills, but also helped me gain self-confidence, develop a more open perspective towards different ideas, and strengthen my sense of empathy.

This was my first experience with the Erasmus+ project. In the future, I aim to actively participate in similar projects and social volunteering activities, both domestically and internationally. I participated in the project on behalf of the Innovative Sustainable Development Association and will continue my volunteer work by taking a more active role in the association. I thank everyone who contributed.
