Hello YESKAD family,
I'm İpek. I'm 19 years old, a high school graduate, and a swimming coach. With the support of the Innovative Sustainable Development Association (YESKAD), I had the opportunity to participate in the ECO PULSE – The Beat of Nature project, held in Braşov, Romania, as part of the Erasmus+ Youth Exchanges program in February 2024. Now, I'd like to share my experiences there with you.

Located approximately three hours from the capital, Bucharest, Brasov is truly a city worth visiting. Despite its small size, it offers a wealth of opportunities. Its streets, natural beauty, and historical fabric make you feel like you're in a fairytale. The feeling of wandering through history, while encountering restaurants and cafes that reflect the essence of modern life, made this city special to me.

A total of 21 participants from Turkey, Greece, Georgia, Romania, Poland, Lithuania, and Armenia participated in our project. Throughout the project, we had the opportunity to develop our skills in sustainability, reducing our carbon footprint, and developing environmentally friendly living habits. We also used Web 2.0 tools to enhance our digital skills and strengthen our problem-solving abilities. The fun games we played during the project made the learning process more enjoyable, breaking up the monotony and fostering strong bonds among the participants.

At the end of the project, with the support of YESKAD, I had the opportunity to share my experiences with students in Türkiye. During the event, I provided young people with information about sustainability, encouraging them to recycle and protect the environment. I also tried to raise awareness of what they could do to ensure a longer, cleaner future.

This project gave me the opportunity to develop my skills and meet wonderful people from different cultures. I extend my sincere gratitude to the YESKAD family for providing me with this opportunity, to all the project organizers, and to my valued participants with whom I created unforgettable memories. This experience has become a significant part of my life and has further motivated me to participate in similar projects in the future.
