Project Overview
The Digital Information and Youth (DigInfoYouth) project is an international initiative designed to support young people in becoming safe, informed, and active individuals in the digital world. The project aims to increase young people's knowledge, skills, and awareness regarding the opportunities offered by digitalization, as well as the increasing risks such as cyberbullying, disinformation, and data security.
The project aims to equip young people, especially those with fewer opportunities, with skills in digital security, digital literacy, and responsible internet use. Simultaneously, by encouraging participants to disseminate their acquired knowledge and experiences, the project aims to contribute to both individual development and the strengthening of digital awareness and a safe internet culture at the societal level.
Project Activities
The project is based on the Digital Security Week event, which includes international mobility, and dissemination activities that will continue throughout the year. During the project, participants will attend seminars on digital security and cybersecurity, take part in workshops and group activities, receive practical cybersecurity training, and conduct technical visits to universities, technology parks, and related institutions. Through these activities, participants will have the opportunity to acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical skills; they will also develop intercultural communication and cooperation skills by participating in an international environment.
Outputs and Impact
The project will produce tangible outputs such as cybersecurity infographics and a digital security-focused mobile application (Reminder App). In addition, it aims to increase young people's digital literacy levels, improve their awareness and understanding of internet security, enhance their communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills, and strengthen international collaborations and networks. By disseminating the project outputs, a wider audience will be reached, and the project's impact will continue sustainably even after its completion.
